Constructive Tools

A third tool that we have learned is Constructive tool. Constructive tools are general-purpose tools that can be used for manipulating information, constructing one’s own knowledge or visualizing one’s understanding. The term ‘constructive’ stems from the fact that these tools enable students to produce a certain tangible product for a given instructional purpose. For example, web authoring applications allow students to create their own web pages and communicate their ideas to the world. Examples of constructive tools are, electronic bulletin boards/Moodle, social networking sites (Blogs/facebook/twitter), simulations, MS publisher, etc.
eg: MS publisher                                                                                     simulation

In this tool, students need to construct their own understanding where learners are the makers of the meaning and knowledge. Learning will be more effective if learner is actively engaged. It allows learners to participate actively in learning even in the absence of teacher. Then, we did one activity to construct or design simulated advertisement of our locality to attract visitors.

Here, we have learned how to create simulation on our locality to attract visitors. Till now i have heard of this word but i wasn't sure how it is made or on what basis. So, after learning this constructive tools i have learned a lot. I have experience the real life of my locality with the help of my parents. Before i wasn't sure about our main local festival but after creating a simulation, i came to know the process and  significance of the festival. Hope i can share my knowledge to the next up coming young children as well.
